✧ He was on a rooftop and saw the people departing, so he said: "What is the matter with the people?" It was said: "They are departing because of the plague." He said: "O plague, take me." His nephew said to him: "You wish for death, while the Messenger of God ﷺ said: 'Do not wish for death, for it cuts off deeds and does not leave a man to be asked to return (to life)?'" He said: "I fear that six things may overtake me, which I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ mention: injustice in judgment, disregard for blood, leadership of fools, severing family ties, many police, and a people putting forward a man who is not the best of them nor the most knowledgeable, who sings the Quran."
