حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ خَالِدِ بْنِ حَيَّانَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو عُبَيْدَةَ بْنُ فُضَيْلِ بْنِ عِيَاضٍ قَالَ: نَا مَالِكُ بْنُ سُعَيْرِ بْنِ الْخِمْسِ قَالَ: نَا فُرَاتُ بْنُ أَحْنَفَ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ
أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ فِي حَجَّةِ الْوَدَاعِ: أَيُّ بَلَدٍ أَحْرَمُ ؟ قِيلَ: مَكَّةُ. فَقَالَ: " أَيُّ شَهْرٍ أَحْرَمُ ؟ " قَالَ: ذُو الْحِجَّةِ. قَالَ: " أَيُّ يَوْمٍ أَحْرَمُ ؟ " قَالَ: يَوْمُ النَّحْرِ يَوْمُ الْحَجِّ الْأَكْبَرِ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " فَإِنَّ دِمَاءَكُمْ وَأَمْوَالَكُمْ حَرَامٌ عَلَيْكُمْ إِلَى أَنْ تَلْقَوْا رَبَّكُمْ، كَحُرْمَةِ يَوْمِكُمْ هَذَا فِي شَهْرِكُمْ هَذَا، فِي بَلَدِكُمْ هَذَا ". فَلَا أَرَى مِنَ الرَّأْيِ أَنْ يُهَرَاقَ فِي حَرَمِ اللهِ دَمٌ

✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said during the Farewell Pilgrimage: 'Which land is most sacred?' It was said: 'Makkah.' He said: 'Which month is most sacred?' He said: 'Dhu al-Hijjah.' He said: 'Which day is most sacred?' He said: 'The Day of Sacrifice, the day of the greatest Hajj.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ then said: 'Indeed your blood and your wealth are sacred to you until you meet your Lord, like the sanctity of this day of yours, in this month of yours, in this land of yours.' So I do not think it is right that blood be shed in the sanctuary of Allah.
