✧ Muawiyah mentioned fleeing from the plague in his sermon. Ubadah said: Your mother Hind is more knowledgeable than you. He completed his sermon, then prayed, then sent for Ubadah. Some men of the Ansar went with him, and he detained them. Ubadah entered, and Muawiyah said to him: Do you not fear Allah and feel ashamed before your imam? Ubadah said: Do you not know that I pledged allegiance to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the night of Aqabah, that I do not fear in Allah the blame of any blamer? Then Muawiyah came out at Asr, prayed Asr, then took hold of the pulpit's leg and said: O people, I mentioned to you a hadith on the pulpit, then I entered the house and found the hadith to be as such.
