حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى بْنُ هَارُونَ نَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، ثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمُؤْمِنِ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ أَبُو الْحَسَنِ، نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ خَالِدٍ الْعَبْسِيُّ نَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مُقَرِّنٍ الْمُزَنِيُّ، عَنْ غَالِبِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبْجَرَ قَالَ:
ذَكَرْتُ قَيْسًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ: رَحِمَ اللهُ قَيْسًا، رَحِمَ اللهُ قَيْسًا. قِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، تَرَحَّمُ عَلَى قَيْسٍ ؟ قَالَ: " نَعَمْ، إِنَّهُ كَانَ عَلَى دِينِ أَبِي إِسْمَاعِيلَ بْنِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ خَلِيلِ اللهِ، يَا قَيْسُ حَيِّ يَمَنًا، يَا يَمَنُ حَيِّ قَيْسًا، إِنَّ قَيْسًا فُرْسَانُ اللهِ فِي الْأَرْضِ، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَيَأْتِيَنَّ عَلَى النَّاسِ زَمَانٌ، لَيْسَ لِهَذَا الدِّينِ نَاصِرٌ غَيْرُ قَيْسٍ، إِنَّ لِلهِ فُرْسَانًا مِنْ أَهْلِ السَّمَاءِ مَوْسُومِينَ، وَفُرْسَانًا مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ مَعْلُومِينَ، فَفُرْسَانُ اللهِ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْأَرْضِ قَيْسٌ، إِنَّمَا قَيْسٌ بَيْضَةٌ تَفَلَّقَتْ عَنَّا أَهْلَ الْبَيْتِ، إِنَّ قَيْسًا ضَرَّاءُ اللهِ " يَعْنِي: أُسُدَ اللهِ

✧ I mentioned Qays in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Prophet ﷺ said: May Allah have mercy on Qays, may Allah have mercy on Qays. It was said: O Messenger of Allah, you invoke mercy upon Qays? He said: Yes, for he was upon the religion of our father Isma'il b. Ibrahim, the friend of Allah. O Qays, greet Yaman; O Yaman, greet Qays. Indeed Qays are the horsemen of Allah on earth. By the One in whose hand is my soul, there will come upon people a time when this religion will have no helper other than Qays. Indeed Allah has horsemen from the people of heaven who are marked, and horsemen from the people of earth who are known. The horsemen of Allah from the people of earth are Qays. Qays is but an egg that split open from us, the People of the House. Indeed Qays are the harm of Allah—meaning the lions of Allah.
