✧ Ibn Mas'ud passed by, and there was Abu Jahl giving up his soul. He came and sat on his chest. Abu Jahl raised his head and said, "Are you not a little shepherd boy yesterday in Makkah? You have climbed a difficult ascent." He cut off his head and came to the Prophet ﷺ and said, "This is the head of Abu Jahl." He said, "By Allah?" He said, "By Allah, it is his head." He said, "Then he ordered it to be thrown into the well."
