وَبِهِ: حَدَّثَنَا مَنْصُورُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ قَالَ: قُلْتُ لِجَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ:

هَلْ كُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ لِأَحَدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْقِبْلَةِ: كَافِرٌ ؟ قَالَ: " لَا "، قُلْتُ: فَكُنْتُمْ تَقُولُونَ: مُشْرِكٌ ؟ قَالَ: " مَعَاذَ اللهِ

Translation

✧ I said, 'Did you used to say to anyone from the people of the qiblah: You are an unbeliever?' He said, 'No.' I said, 'Did you used to say: You are a polytheist?' He said, 'I seek refuge with Allah.'
