حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَابَانَ، ثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلَانَ، نَا الْفَضْلُ بْنُ مُوسَى السِّينَانِيُّ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ زِيَادِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ سَلَمَةَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ سَالِمِ بْنِ أَبِي الْجَعْدِ، عَنْ أَبِي أُمَامَةَ قَالَ:
جَاءَتِ امْرَأَةٌ إِلَى النَّبِيِّ ﷺ وَمَعَهَا صَبِيَّانِ، لَهَا صَبِيٌّ تُرْضِعُهُ، فَسَأَلَتِ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ، فَلَمْ يَجِدْ شَيْئًا يُعْطِيهَا حَتَّى أَصَابَ ثَلَاثَ تَمَرَاتٍ عِنْدَ بَعْضِ نِسَائِهِ، فَأَعْطَاهَا، فَأَعْطَتْ هَذَا تَمْرَةً وَهَذَا تَمْرَةً، وَأَمْسَكَتْ تَمْرَةً، فَبَكَى أَحَدُ الصَّبِيَّيْنِ، فَشَقَّتِ التَّمْرَةَ نِصْفَيْنِ، فَأَعْطَتْ هَذَا نِصْفًا وَهَذَا نِصْفًا، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: حَمِلَاتٌ، وَالِدَاتٌ، مُرْضِعَاتٌ، رَحِيمَاتٌ بِأَوْلَادِهِنَّ، لَوْلَا مَا يَأْتِينَ إِلَى أَزْوَاجِهِنَّ دَخَلَ مُصَلِّيَاتُهُنَّ الْجَنَّةَ

✧ A woman came to the Prophet ﷺ with two young boys, one of whom she was nursing. She asked the Prophet ﷺ for something, but he could not find anything to give her until he found three dates with one of his wives. He gave them to her. She gave one date to this boy and one date to the other, and kept one date for herself. One of the boys cried, so she split the date into two halves and gave half to this one and half to the other. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Pregnant, giving birth, nursing, merciful to their children—were it not for what they do to their husbands, those among them who pray would enter Paradise.'
