حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ بْنِ مُوسَى الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ، صَاحِبُ ابْنِ الْمُبَارَكِ، ثَنَا هُشَيْمٌ، عَنِ الْأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ إِبْرَاهِيمَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَنْ أَعْطَى أَرْبَعًا أُعْطِيَ أَرْبَعًا، وَتَفْسِيرُ ذَلِكَ فِي كِتَابِ اللهِ، مَنْ أَعْطَى الذِّكْرَ ذَكَرَهُ اللهُ؛ لِأَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: فَاذْكُرُونِي أَذْكُرْكُمْ وَمَنْ أَعْطَى الدُّعَاءَ أُعْطِيَ الْإِجَابَةَ؛ لِأَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: ادْعُونِي أَسْتَجِبْ لَكُمْ، وَمَنْ أَعْطَى الشُّكْرَ أُعْطِيَ الزِّيَادَةَ؛ لِأَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: لَئِنْ شَكَرْتُمْ لأَزِيدَنَّكُمْ، وَمَنْ أَعْطَى الِاسْتِغْفَارَ أُعْطِيَ الْمَغْفِرَةَ؛ لِأَنَّ اللهَ يَقُولُ: اسْتَغْفِرُوا رَبَّكُمْ إِنَّهُ كَانَ غَفَّارًا

✧ Whoever gives four things will be given four things, and the explanation of that is in the Book of Allah. Whoever gives remembrance, Allah remembers him, for Allah says: 'Remember Me and I will remember you.' Whoever gives supplication is given response, for Allah says: 'Call upon Me and I will answer you.' Whoever gives gratitude is given increase, for Allah says: 'If you are grateful, I will surely increase you.' Whoever gives seeking forgiveness is given forgiveness, for Allah says: 'Ask forgiveness of your Lord; indeed He is ever Forgiving.'
