حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الْمَرْوَزِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى بْنِ كَثِيرٍ الْحَرَّانِيُّ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُوسَى بْنِ أَعْيَنَ، ثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ بْنِ مَرْدَانُبَهْ، عَنْ رَقَبَةَ بْنِ مَصْقَلَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ الطَّوِيلِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ:

كَأَنِّي أَنْظُرُ إِلَى وَبِيصِ خَاتَمِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، إِذْ خَرَجَ عَلَيْنَا فِي ثُلُثِ اللَّيْلِ، فَقَالَ: إِنَّ النَّاسَ قَدْ صَلَّوْا وَنَامُوا، وَإِنَّكُمْ لَنْ تَزَالُوا فِي صَلَاةٍ إِذَا انْتَظَرْتُمُوهَا

✧ It is as if I am looking at the gleam of the Messenger of God's ﷺ ring when he came out to us in the last third of the night and said: 'The people have prayed and slept, but you will remain in prayer as long as you wait for it.'
