حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُعَاذٍ، ثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، نَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ

أَنَّ أَصْحَابَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ شَكَوْا إِلَيْهِ الْعَطَشَ، فَدَعَا بِعُسٍّ، وَدَعَا بِمَاءٍ فَصَبَّهُ فِيهِ، وَوَضَعَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ كَفَّهُ فِي الْعُسِّ، فَقَالَ: اسْتَقُوا "، فَرَأَيْتُ الْمَاءَ يَنْبُعُ عُيُونًا مِنْ بَيْنِ أَصَابِعِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، حَتَّى اسْتَقَى النَّاسُ

Translation

✧ The companions of the Messenger of God ﷺ complained to him of thirst. He called for a wooden bowl and called for water, pouring it into it. The Messenger of God ﷺ placed his palm in the bowl and said: 'Drink.' I saw water gushing forth as springs from between the fingers of the Messenger of God ﷺ until the people had drunk.
