✧ A man passed by the Prophet ﷺ, and the companions of the Prophet ﷺ saw in him such vigor and energy that amazed them. They said: O Messenger of God, if only this were in the path of God. The Messenger of God ﷺ said: If he went out striving for his young children, then he is in the path of God. If he went out striving for two elderly parents, then he is in the path of God. If he is striving for himself to keep himself chaste, then he is in the path of God. But if he went out for show and pride, then he is in the path of Satan.
