حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، نَا أَبِي، عَنْ جَدِّي، نَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَمْزَةَ، حَدَّثَنِي سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ قَالَ:
الْقُضَاةُ ثَلَاثَةٌ: قَاضِيَانِ فِي النَّارِ وَقَاضٍ فِي الْجَنَّةِ، قَاضٍ تَرَكَ الْحَقَّ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ، وَقَاضٍ قَضَى بِغَيْرِ الْحَقِّ وَهُوَ لَا يَعْلَمُ فَأُهْلِكَ بِحُقُوقِ النَّاسِ، فَهَذَانِ فِي النَّارِ، وَقَاضٍ قَضَى بِالْحَقِّ فَهَذَا فِي الْجَنَّةِ

✧ Judges are three: two in the Fire and one in Paradise. A judge who abandons the truth while knowing it, and a judge who judges without truth while not knowing [it], so he destroys people's rights—these two are in the Fire. And a judge who judges with truth, this one is in Paradise.
