وَبِهِ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عِيسَى بْنِ سُمَيْعٍ، نَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ

أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ أَقْبَلَ عَلَى النَّاسِ، فَقَالَ: بَيْنَا رَجُلٌ يَسُوقُ بَقَرَةً أَرَادَ أَنْ يَرْكَبَهَا، فَأَقْبَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ، فَقَالَتْ: إِنَّا لَمْ نُخْلَقْ لِهَذَا، إِنَّمَا خُلِقْنَا لِلْحِرَاثَةِ "، فَقَالَ مَنْ حَوْلَهُ: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ، بَقَرَةٌ تَكَلَّمَتْ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " فَإِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ " وَلَيْسَ هُمَا ثَمَّ. ثُمَّ قَالَ: " قَالَ رَجُلٌ: بَيْنَا أَنَا فِي غَنَمٍ لِي أَرْعَاهَا إِذْ أَقْبَلَ ذِئْبٌ فَأَخَذَ شَاةً، فَطَلَبْتُهُ، فَأَخَذْتُهَا مِنْهُ، فَقَالَ: كَيْفَ لَكَ بِيَوْمِ السَّبُعِ حِينَ لَا يَكُونُ لَهَا رَاعٍ غَيْرِي "، فَقَالُوا: سُبْحَانَ اللهِ تَكَلَّمَ ذِئْبٌ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: " فَإِنِّي آمَنْتُ بِهِ أَنَا، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ، وَعُمَرُ " وَلَيْسَ هُمَا ثَمَّ

Translation

✧ The Prophet ﷺ turned to the people and said: 'While a man was driving a cow, he intended to ride it. It turned to him and said: We were not created for this; we were created only for plowing.' Those around him said: 'Glory be to Allah! A cow spoke?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I believe in it, and Abu Bakr and 'Umar,' though they were not there. Then he said: 'A man said: While I was among my sheep grazing them, a wolf came and took a sheep. I pursued it and took it back from him. He said: What will you do on the Day of the Beast when it will have no shepherd but me?' They said: 'Glory be to Allah! A wolf spoke?' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'I believe in it, and Abu Bakr and 'Umar,' though they were not there.
