حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَبِي زُرْعَةَ: نَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ خَالِدٍ، نَا أَبِي، نَا الْمُطْعِمُ بْنُ الْمِقْدَامِ، نَا نَافِعٌ قَالَ:
كُنْتُ رِدْفَ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، إِذْ " مَرَّ رَاعٍ يَزْمِرُ، فَضَرَبَ وَجْهَ النَّاقَةِ، وَصَرَفَهَا عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ، ثُمَّ جَعَلَ إِصْبَعَيْهِ فِي أُذُنَيْهِ "، وَقَالَ: " رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَفْعَلُهُ

✧ I was riding behind Ibn 'Umar when a shepherd passed by playing a pipe. He struck the face of the she-camel and turned her away from the road, then put his fingers in his ears and said: 'I saw the Messenger of Allah ﷺ do this.'
