✧ It was my night, and the Prophet ﷺ was with me. Fatimah came to him, and 'Ali preceded her. The Prophet ﷺ said to him: "O 'Ali, you and your companions are in Paradise; you and your Shi'ah are in Paradise—except that among those who claim to love you are people who will distort Islam and then abandon it. They recite the Qur'an, but it does not go beyond their collarbones. They have a nickname: they are called the Rafidah. If you encounter them, fight them, for they are polytheists." I said: "O Messenger of God, what is their mark?" He said: "They do not attend Friday prayer or congregational prayer, and they defame the early predecessors."
