حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رُزَيْقِ بْنِ جَامِعٍ، نَا أَبُو الطَّاهِرِ بْنُ السَّرْحِ، ثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي أُوَيْسٍ، عَنْ حُسَيْنِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ ضُمَيْرَةَ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ قَالَتْ:
قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ حِينَ حَضَرَتْهُ الْوَفَاةُ، وَهُوَ يَمُدُّ يَدَهُ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: يَا جِبْرِيلُ، أَيْنَ أَنْتَ ؟ " ثُمَّ يَقْبِضُهَا وَيَبْسُطُهَا، فَفَعَلَ ذَلِكَ مِرَارًا وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " يَا جِبْرِيلُ، اشْفَعْ لِي عِنْدَ رَبِّي يُهَوِّنُ عَلَيَّ الْمَوْتَ ". فَذَكَرَ أَبُو هُرَيْرَةَ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ عَائِشَةَ تَقُولُ: لَقَدْ سَمِعْتُ مَا لَمْ تَسْمَعْ أُذُنٌ مِنْ جِبْرِيلَ، وَهُوَ يَقُولُ: " لَبَّيْكَ

✧ When death approached the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he stretched out his hand and said: 'O Jibril, where are you?' Then he would withdraw it and extend it, doing that repeatedly while saying: 'O Jibril, intercede for me with my Lord to make death easy for me.' Abu Hurayrah mentioned that he heard A'ishah say: 'I heard from Jibril what no ear has ever heard, and he was saying: Labbayk.'
