✧ A woman in ihram must not wear a face veil, nor gloves, nor a burqa. If she wants to enter ihram while she is menstruating, let her enter ihram and stand at the standing places, except for tawaf around the House and between al-Safa and al-Marwa.

machine translationIbrāhīm b. Saʿīd is not corroborated in this narration in raising it to the Prophet (marfūʿ). He said: A group narrated it from Nāfiʿ as a statement of Ibn ʿUmar.
machine translation"From the statement of Ibn ʿUmar" was inserted into the hadith (mudraj), meaning: "A woman must not wear the face veil (niqāb)."
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 6426 - Khaṭṭābī

machine translationShaykh Taqī al-Dīn, in al-Imām, found the ruling of insertion (idrāj) in this hadith problematic on two grounds.
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 6426 - Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 6426 - ʿAbd al-Raḥmān b. al-Jawzī
machine translationThe hadith of Ibn ʿUmar: there is disagreement over whether it is raised (marfūʿ) to the Prophet ﷺ or stopped (mawqūf) at the Companion.
machine translationIn the first ground there is an indication that there is no insertion, for the hadith is weak (ḍaʿīf) because Ibrāhīm b. Saʿīd al-Madanī is unknown (majhūl).
in المعجم الأوسط, p. 6426 - al-Dhahabi
machine translationThis Ibrāhīm b. Saʿīd is one whose narrations are rejected (munkar al-ḥadīth) and is not well known. Then he said: He has a single hadith on ihram, which Abū Dāwūd transmitted and was silent about, so his status is close to acceptable (muqārib al-ḥāl).
