✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ came to me one day and said, “Do you have anything, O daughter of Ḥuyayy? For I am hungry.” I said, “No, by God, O Messenger of God, except a mudd of flour.” He said, “Then heat it up.” She said, “I put it in the pot and cooked it. Then I said, ‘It is cooked, O Messenger of God.’ He said, ‘Do you know if there is anything in the butter-skin of the daughter of Abū Bakr?’ I said, ‘I do not know, O Messenger of God.’ She said, ‘So he went himself until he came to her house and said, “Is there anything in your butter-skin, O daughter of Abū Bakr?” She said, “There is nothing in it except a little.” So he brought it himself and squeezed its sides into the pot until I saw what came out in the place of his hand. Then he said, “In the name of God,” and invoked blessing. Then he said, “Call your sisters, for I know that they feel the same as I do.” So I called them, and we ate until we were full. Then Abū Bakr came and asked permission, and he entered. Then ʿUmar came, and then another man came. She said, “And they ate until they were full, and there was still some left over from them.”
