حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ الصَّائِغُ، قَالَ: نَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُحْرِزِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ عَلْقَمَةَ بْنِ مَرْثَدٍ الْحَضْرَمِيِّ، عَنْ حَفْصِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ قَالَ:
سُبَّتِ الْحُمَّى يَوْمًا عِنْدَ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ، فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ: لَا تَسُبُّوهَا، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ إِنَّهَا لَتُذْهِبُ ذُنُوبَ الْمُؤْمِنِ كَمَا يُذْهِبُ الْكِيرُ خَبَثَ الْحَدِيدِ

✧ Fever was cursed one day in the presence of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Do not curse it, for by the One in whose hand is my soul, it removes the sins of the believer just as the bellows removes the dross of iron.'
