حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا الْغَلَّابِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ رَجَاءٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي جَرِيرُ بْنُ أَيُّوبَ، عَنِ الْعَيْزَارِ بْنِ حُرَيْثٍ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

عَجِبْتُ لِلْمُؤْمِنِ، إِنْ أَصَابَهُ خَيْرٌ حَمِدَ اللهَ وَشَكَرَ، وَإِنْ أَصَابَتْهُ مُصِيبَةٌ حَمِدَ رَبَّهُ وَصَبَرَ، وَفِي كُلٍّ يُؤْجَرُ الْمُؤْمِنُ، حَتَّى فِي أَكْلَةٍ يَرْفَعُهَا إِلَى فِيهِ

✧ I am amazed at the believer: if good befalls him, he praises Allah and gives thanks; and if a calamity befalls him, he praises his Lord and remains patient. Thus the believer is rewarded in every situation, even in a morsel he lifts to his mouth.
