✧ A man came to the Messenger of God ﷺ and said, "O Messenger of God, which people are most beloved to God? And which deeds are most beloved to God, Mighty and Majestic?" The Messenger of God ﷺ said, "The most beloved of people to God are those most beneficial to people, and the most beloved of deeds to God is joy that you bring to a Muslim, or you relieve him of a distress, or you pay off a debt for him, or you drive away hunger from him. And that I walk with a brother of mine to fulfill his need is more beloved to me than that I seclude myself in this mosque—meaning the Mosque of Madinah—for a month. Whoever restrains his anger, God will conceal his faults, and whoever suppresses his rage—even though if he wished he could act upon it—God, Mighty and Majestic, will fill his heart with security on the Day of Resurrection. And whoever walks with his brother to fulfill his need until he secures it for him, God, Mighty and Majestic, will secure his foot upon the Bridge on the day when feet slip upon it."
