✧ When God sent Adam down to the earth, he stood facing the Kaʿbah and prayed two rakʿahs. God inspired him with this supplication: 'O God, You know my secret and my open, so accept my excuse. You know my need, so grant my request. You know what is in my soul, so forgive my sin. O God, I ask You for faith that touches my heart, and true certainty until I know that nothing will befall me except what You have decreed for me, and contentment with what You have apportioned for me.' God revealed to him: 'O Adam, I have accepted your repentance and forgiven your sin. No one will call upon Me with this supplication except that I will forgive his sin, suffice him in his important affairs, drive away Satan from him, trade for him behind every trader, and the world will come to him submissively even if he does not want it.'
