حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْحَضْرَمِيُّ، قَالَ: نَا الْحُسَيْنُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الطَّحَّانُ، قَالَ: ثَنَا حَفْصُ بْنُ غِيَاثٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزُّبَيْرِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

مَا نَضَبَ عَنْهُ الْبَحْرُ وَهُوَ حَيٌّ فَمَاتَ فَكُلُوهُ، وَمَا أَلْقَى الْبَحْرُ حَيًّا فَمَاتَ فَكُلُوهُ، وَمَا وَجَدْتُمُوهُ مَيْتًا طَافِيًا فَلَا تَأْكُلُوهُ

Translation

✧ Whatever the sea recedes from while it is alive and then dies, eat it. Whatever the sea casts out alive and then dies, eat it. And whatever you find dead and floating, do not eat it.
