- Abū al-Ḥasan Nur al-Dīn ʿAlī b. Abi Bakr al-Haythamī
machine translationIn it is al-Mufaḍḍal b. Ṣāliḥ, and he is weak (ḍaʿīf).
machine translationThus Suwayd said: Mufaḍḍal b. ʿAbdullāh, and he is Mufaḍḍal b. Ṣāliḥ Abū Jamīlah al-Nakhkhās. And I do not know anyone who narrated it from Abān other than this Mufaḍḍal.
machine translationThis Mufaḍḍal has other narrations besides what I mentioned. Suwayd al-Anbārī used to err in the name of his father, saying "Ibn ʿAbdullāh", when he is Ibn Ṣāliḥ. The most objectionable (munkar) thing I saw of his is the hadith of al-Ḥasan b. ʿAlī, where he said to him: "Uncover your belly." The rest of his narrations are other than that; I hope that they are sound.
