حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: نَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ قَالَ: نَا أَبُو إِسْرَائِيلَ الْمُلَائِيُّ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ الْعَيْزَارِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ مَيْمُونٍ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ:

إِذَا ذُكِرَ الصَّالِحُونَ فَحَيَّهَلًا بِعُمَرَ، مَا كُنَّا نُبْعِدُ أَصْحَابَ مُحَمَّدٍ عَلَيْهِ السَّلَامُ، أَنَّ السَّكِينَةَ تَنْطِقُ عَلَى لِسَانِ عُمَرَ

✧ When the righteous are mentioned, then come eagerly to Umar. We would not deem the companions of Muhammad ﷺ far from it, that tranquility speaks upon the tongue of Umar.
