✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed by a people who had hunted a gazelle and tied it to the pole of a tent. The gazelle said, “O Messenger of Allah, I have given birth and I have two fawns, so permit me to suckle them, then I will return to them.” He said, “Where is the owner of this?” The people said, “We are, O Messenger of Allah.” The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said, “Release her so that she may go to her two fawns and suckle them, and then she will come back to you.” They said, “And who will guarantee us that, O Messenger of Allah?” He said, “I.” So they released her, and she went, suckled them, and then returned to them, so they tied her up again. Then the Prophet ﷺ passed by them and said, “Where are the owners of this?” They said, “Here we are, O Messenger of Allah.” He said, “Will you sell her?” They said, “O Messenger of Allah, she is yours,” so they released her, and she went away.
