حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ قَالَ: ثَنَا مِنْجَابُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ قَالَ: ثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ الْأَسَدِيُّ، عَنْ عَطِيَّةَ الْعَوْفِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:
إِنَّ أَهْلَ سَمَاءِ الدُّنْيَا لَيَرَوْنَ أَهْلَ عِلِّيِّينَ كَمَا يَرَى أَهْلُ الدُّنْيَا الْكَوْكَبَ الطَّالِعَ فِي أُفُقِ السَّمَاءِ، وَأَبُو بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرُ مِنْهُمْ وَأَنْعَمَا، قُلْتُ لِعَطِيَّةَ: مَا أَنْعَمَا ؟ قَالَ: أَخْصَبَا

✧ The inhabitants of the lowest heaven certainly see the inhabitants of Illiyyin just as the inhabitants of the world see the star rising on the horizon of the sky, and Abu Bakr and Umar are among them, and what excellent ones! I said to Atiyya: What does 'what excellent ones' mean? He said: They are most favored.
