✧ On the Day of Resurrection, some people will be commanded to go to Paradise until, when they draw near to it and inhale its fragrance, and look at its palaces and what God has prepared therein for its people, it will be called out: “Turn them away from it; they have no share in it.” So they will return with a regret the like of which the first people did not return. They will say, “Our Lord, if only You had admitted us to the Fire before You showed us what we saw of Your reward and what You prepared therein for Your friends, it would have been easier for us.” He will say, “That is what I wanted for you. When you were alone you confronted Me with grave sins, but when you met people you met them humbly, showing people the opposite of what you gave Me from your hearts. You feared people and did not fear Me. You revered people and did not revere Me. You left things for the sake of people and did not leave for Me. So today I have shown you the painful punishment along with what I have deprived you of reward.”
