✧ I witnessed Madinah while Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas were there. A man came to its governor and testified before him to sighting the crescent of Ramadan. He asked Ibn Umar and Ibn Abbas about his testimony, and they instructed him to accept it. They said: The Messenger of God ﷺ accepted the testimony of a single man for sighting the crescent of Ramadan, and the Messenger of God ﷺ did not accept any testimony for breaking the fast except the testimony of two men.
