حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ الْبَرَاءِ قَالَ: نَا الْمُعَافَى بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ قَالَ: نَا مُوسَى بْنُ أَعْيَنَ، عَنْ مَعْمَرِ بْنِ رَاشِدٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمِ بْنِ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنْ فُضَيْلٍ الرَّقَاشِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مُغَفَّلٍ الْمُزَنِيِّ

أَنَّهُ سَأَلَهُ عَنِ الْأَشْرِبَةِ ؟، فَقَالَ: أَلَا أُحَدِّثُكَ مَا سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ إِنَّهُ نَهَى عَنِ الدُّبَّاءَ، وَالْحَنْتَمِ وَالْمُقَيَّرِ، وَالْمُزَفَّتِ. قُلْتُ: مَا الْحَنْتَمُ ؟ قَالَ: الْأَخْضَرُ وَالْأَبْيَضُ، قُلْتُ: فَمَا الْمُقَيَّرُ ؟ قَالَ: كُلُّ شَيْءٍ طُلِيَ بِقَارٍ مِنْ سِقَاءٍ أَوْ غَيْرِهِ

✧ He (the Prophet ﷺ) was asked about drinks, and he said: "Shall I not tell you what I heard from the Messenger of Allah ﷺ? He forbade the gourd (dubba'), the green jar (hantam), the pitched vessel (muqayyar), and the varnished jar (muzaffat)." I said: "What is hantam?" He said: "The green and white (jars)." I said: "What is muqayyar?" He said: "Anything coated with pitch, whether a water-skin or something else."
