✧ He came to the Prophet ﷺ while he was in a house crowded with people. He stood at the door. The Prophet ﷺ looked right and left and saw no place, so he took his cloak, folded it, then threw it to him and said: 'Sit on it.' Jarir took it, clutched it and kissed it, then returned it to the Prophet ﷺ and said: 'May Allah honor you, O Messenger of Allah, as you have honored me.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'When a noble person of a people comes to you, honor him.'
