حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ الْمُسْتَمْلِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ أَبَانَ قَالَ: كُنَّا عِنْدَ أَبِي أُسَامَةَ يَوْمًا، فَقَالَ الْمُسْتَمْلِيُّ: خُذْ إِلَيْكَ، حَدَّثَنِي الْأَحْوَصُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، عَنْ رَاشِدِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ وَأَبِي الزَّاهِرِيَّةِ، قَالَا: سَمِعْنَا أَبَا الدَّرْدَاءِ، يَقُولُ:

مَرَّ بِنَا النَّبِيُّ ﷺ وَنَحْنُ نَحْفِرُ قَبْرًا، فَقَالَ: مَا تَصْنَعُونَ ؟ قُلْنَا: نَحْفِرُ قَبْرًا لِهَذَا الْأَسْوَدِ، فَقَالَ: " جَاءَتْ بِهِ مَنِيَّتُهُ إِلَى تُرْبَتِهِ " قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ: تَدْرُونَ يَا أَهْلَ الْكُوفَةِ لِمَ حَدَّثْتُكُمْ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ ؟ لِأَنَّ أَبَا بَكْرٍ وَعُمَرَ خُلِقَا مِنْ تُرْبَةِ رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ

✧ The Prophet ﷺ passed by us while we were digging a grave. He said: “What are you doing?” We said: “We are digging a grave for this black man.” He said: “His death brought him to his burial place.” Abu Usama said: “Do you know, O people of Kufa, why I have narrated this hadith to you? Because Abu Bakr and Umar were created from the soil of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ.”
