حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ: نَا قَطَرِيٌّ الْخَشَّابُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِذَا كَانَ آخِرُ الزَّمَانِ صَارَتْ أُمَّتِي ثَلَاثَ فِرَقٍ: فِرْقَةٌ يَعْبُدُونَ [ اللهَ ] خَالِصًا، وَفِرْقَةٌ يَعْبُدُونَ اللهَ رِيَاءً، وَفِرْقَةٌ يَعْبُدُونَ اللهَ يَسْتَأْكِلُونَ بِهِ النَّاسَ، فَإِذَا جَمَعَهُمُ اللهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، قَالَ لِلَّذِي يَسْتَأْكِلُ النَّاسَ: بِعِزَّتِي وَجَلَالِي، وَمَا أَرَدْتَ بِعِبَادَتِي ؟ قَالَ: وَعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلَالِكَ أَسْتَأْكِلُ بِهِ النَّاسَ. قَالَ: لَمْ يَنْفَعْكَ مَا جَمَعْتَ شَيْئًا تَلْجَأُ إِلَيْهِ، انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ، ثُمَّ قَالَ لِلَّذِي كَانَ يَعْبُدُهُ رِيَاءً: بِعِزَّتِي وَجَلَالِي مَا أَرَدْتَ بِعِبَادَتِي ؟ قَالَ: بِعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلَالِكَ رِيَاءَ النَّاسِ. قَالَ: لَمْ يَصْعَدْ إِلَيَّ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ، انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى النَّارِ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ لِلَّذِي كَانَ يَعْبُدُهُ خَالِصًا: بِعِزَّتِي وَجَلَالِي مَا أَرَدْتَ بِعِبَادَتِي ؟ قَالَ: بِعِزَّتِكَ وَجَلَالِكَ أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِذَلِكَ مِنِّي أَرَدْتُ بِهِ ذِكْرَكَ وَوَجْهَكَ. قَالَ: صَدَقَ عَبْدِي، انْطَلِقُوا بِهِ إِلَى الْجَنَّةِ

✧ When the end of time comes, my community will become three factions: a faction that worships God sincerely, a faction that worships God for show, and a faction that worships God to consume people's wealth by it. When God gathers them on the Day of Resurrection, He will say to the one who consumed people's wealth: By My might and majesty, what did you intend by My worship? He will say: By Your might and majesty, I consumed people's wealth by it. He will say: What you collected has not benefited you at all. Take him to the Fire. Then He will say to the one who worshipped Him for show: By My might and majesty, what did you intend by My worship? He will say: By Your might and majesty, showing off to people. He will say: Nothing of it ascended to Me. Take him to the Fire. Then He will say to the one who worshipped Him sincerely: By My might and majesty, what did you intend by My worship? He will say: By Your might and majesty, You know better than I; I intended Your remembrance and Your countenance. He will say: My servant has spoken the truth. Take him to Paradise.
