حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَبَّاسِ الْمُؤَدِّبُ قَالَ: نَا عُبَيْدُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْعَطَّارُ قَالَ: نَا قَطَرِيٌّ الْخَشَّابُ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْوَارِثِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ، قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ:

إِنَّ الرَّجُلَ لَيُوضَعُ طَعَامُهُ بَيْنَ يَدَيْهِ، فَمَا يُرْفَعُ حَتَّى يُغْفَرَ لَهُ. فَقِيلَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، بِمَ ذَاكَ ؟ قَالَ: " يَقُولُ: بِسْمِ اللهِ إِذَا وُضِعَ، وَالْحَمْدُ لِلهِ إِذَا رُفِعَ

✧ Indeed, a man's food is placed before him, and it is not lifted until he is forgiven. It was said: O Messenger of God, why is that? He said: "He says: Bismi llah when it is placed, and al-hamdu li-llah when it is lifted."
