✧ I came to Abu al-Darda' while he was in Syria. He said: "What brought you, my son, to this land? What urged you to it?" I said: "Nothing brought me except maintaining what was between you and my father." He took my hand and seated me, and I leaned against him. Then he said: "How bad is the hour of lying about the Messenger of God ﷺ. I heard the Prophet ﷺ say: 'There is no Muslim who commits a sin, then performs ablution, then prays two rak'ahs or four, obligatory or otherwise, then seeks God's forgiveness, but God forgives him.'"
