حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْحُسَيْنِ الصَّابُونِيُّ قَالَ زُرَيْقُ بْنُ السَّخْتِ قَالَ: نَا هَاشِمُ بْنُ الْقَاسِمِ قَالَ: نَا شَيْبَانُ، عَنْ لَيْثِ بْنِ أَبِي سُلَيْمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ بْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِي مَلِيحِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ الْهُذَلِيِّ، عَنْ وَاثِلَةَ بْنِ الْأَسْقَعِ قَالَ:
كُنَّا عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ، فَأَتَاهُ رَجُلٌ، فَقَالَ: يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، إِنِّي أَصَبْتُ حَدًّا مِنْ حُدُودِ اللهِ، فَأَقِمْ فِيَّ حَدَّ اللهِ فَطَهِّرْنِي، فَقَالَ: أَلَيْسَ قَدْ تَوَضَّأْتَ وَأَحْسَنْتَ الْوُضُوءَ، وَتَطَهَّرْتَ فَأَحْسَنْتَ الطُّهُورَ، وَشَهِدْتَ مَعَنَا الصَّلَاةَ آنِفًا ؟ " قَالَ: بَلَى، قَالَ: " اذْهَبْ، فَهِيَ كَفَّارَتُكَ

✧ We were with the Prophet ﷺ when a man came to him and said: “O Messenger of Allah, I have committed a sin that deserves a prescribed punishment, so carry out Allah’s prescribed punishment on me and purify me.” He said: “Did you not just perform ablution and do it well, and purify yourself and do it well, and pray with us a short while ago?” He said: “Yes.” He said: “Go, for it is your expiation.”
