✧ When news of the Negus's death reached the Prophet ﷺ, he said: "Go out and pray over a brother of yours whom you have never seen." So we went out, and the Prophet ﷺ advanced and we lined up behind him, and he prayed and we prayed. When we finished, the hypocrites said: "Look at this one, he went out to pray over a Christian infidel whom he has never seen." Then Allah revealed: "And indeed, among the People of the Book are those who believe in Allah and what has been sent down to you and what was sent down to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the verses of Allah for a small price..." to the end of the verse.
