حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَانُ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ قَالَ: نَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ بْنِ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِي سَلَمَةَ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ ﷺ قَالَ:

فُضِّلْتُ عَلَى مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلِي بِخَمْسِ خِصَالٍ: أُرْسِلْتُ إِلَى النَّاسِ كَافَّةً الْأَحْمَرِ وَالْأَسْوَدِ، وَجُعِلَتْ لِيَ الْأَرْضُ مَسْجِدًا وَطَهُورًا، وَنُصِرْتُ بِالرُّعْبِ مَسِيرَةَ شَهْرٍ، وَأُحِلَّتْ لِيَ الْغَنَائِمُ، وَلَمْ تَحِلَّ لِأَحَدٍ قَبْلِي، وَقِيلَ لِي: سَلْ تُعْطَهْ، فَأَخَّرْتُ شَفَاعَتِي لِأُمَّتِي يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ

✧ I was favored over those before me with five qualities: I was sent to all people, the red and the black; the earth was made a place of prayer and a means of purification for me; I was aided with terror cast a month's journey ahead; spoils of war were made lawful for me, though they were not lawful for anyone before me; and it was said to me: Ask, and you shall be given. So I delayed my intercession for my community until the Day of Resurrection.
