✧ When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ conquered Makkah, and Abu Bakr was standing at his head, he said: 'May my father and mother be sacrificed for you, O Messenger of Allah, indeed Abu Quhafah is a very old man, and he is on the outskirts of Makkah.' The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Let us go to him.' He said: 'O Messenger of Allah, he is more deserving of coming to you.' So Abu Quhafah was brought, his beard and head as white as the thaghamah plant. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: 'Change it (the hair) and keep it away from black.'
