✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ sent Abu Qatada al-Ansari to collect zakat, and the Messenger of Allah ﷺ and his companions set out in ihram until they camped at Usfan. There they saw a wild donkey. Abu Qatada came while he was not in ihram. They lowered their heads, disliking to direct their eyes lest he notice. He saw it, mounted his horse, and took the spear, but it fell from him. He said: "Hand it to me." We said: "We will not help you with it in any way." He charged at it and wounded it. Then they began roasting from it. Then they said: "The Messenger of Allah ﷺ is among us." He had gone ahead of them, so they caught up with him and asked him, and he saw no harm in it.
