✧ The Messenger of Allah ﷺ fell from a horse of his in Madinah and his foot was dislocated. We came to visit him while he was in an upper room of ʿAʾishah, sitting. We stood behind him and prayed. Then we came to him another time and found him sitting, performing the prescribed prayer. We stood behind him, and he gestured with his hand: Sit. When he finished the prayer, he said: When your imam prays standing, pray standing, and when he prays sitting, pray sitting, and do not stand while he is sitting as the Persians do with their great ones.
