حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ خَلَّادٍ الْقَطَّانُ قَالَ: نَا نَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي أَبِي قَالَ: نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ أَبِي الْحَسْنَاءِ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ الْبَرَّاءِ، عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ
أَنَّ الْحَجَّاجَ لَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا، قِيلَ لَهَا: هَذَا الْأَمِيرُ الْحَجَّاجُ، قَالَتْ: أَمَا إِنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ قَالَ: فِي ثَقِيفَ كَذَّابٌ وَمُبِيرٌ، فَأَمَّا الْكَذَّابُ فَقَدْ رَأَيْنَاهُ، وَأَمَّا الْمُبِيرُ فَأَنْتَ هُوَ

✧ When al-Hajjaj entered upon her, it was said to her: This is the commander al-Hajjaj. She said: Indeed, the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: In Thaqif there is a liar and a destroyer. As for the liar, we have seen him, and as for the destroyer, you are he.
