✧ He performed Hajj with him until he stood at Arafat. He said to him: 'O Maysarah, go up into the mountain.' He said: 'So I did. When the people departed, I went to urge my camel on, and he said: "Wait, a moderate pace between the two paces." When I crossed the mountain, I said: 'Shall I stop, O Abu Abd al-Rahman?' He said: 'Go on, O Maysarah.' When we reached Muzdalifah, he stood and called the adhan, then the iqamah for prayer, and prayed Maghrib. Then he called the iqamah and prayed the later Isha prayer. Then we entered the morning and he did at the Mash'ar as he had done at the first Mash'ar. Then he said: "The polytheists used not to depart from Arafat until the sun appeared on the mountains, becoming like the turbans of men on their faces. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used not to depart until the sun set. The polytheists used not to depart from Muzdalifah until they said: 'Shine, Thabir,' and they would not depart until the sun appeared on the mountaintops like the turbans of men on their faces. The Messenger of Allah ﷺ used to depart before the sun rose."
