✧ The Messenger of God ﷺ prayed a prayer, either adding to it or omitting from it. Some of the people said to him: Has something new occurred in the prayer? He said: Nothing new has occurred in it; if something new had occurred, I would have informed you. But I am a human being and I forget, so when I forget, remind me. Then he prayed what remained of his prayer, then prostrated the two prostrations of forgetfulness, then said: When one of you prays and does not know whether he added or omitted, let him seek what is correct in that, then prostrate twice while seated.
