حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْحَسَنِ الْحَرَّانِيُّ قَالَ: نَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ مَرْوَانَ الْخَلَّالُ قَالَ: نَا زِيَادُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ الْقُرَشِيُّ قَالَ:
دَخَلْتُ عَلَى هِنْدٍ بِنْتِ الْمُهَلَّبِ بْنِ أَبِي صُفْرَةَ وَهِيَ امْرَأَةُ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ يُوسُفَ وَبِيَدِهَا مِغْزَلٌ تَغْزِلُ بِهِ، فَقُلْتُ لَهَا: تَغْزِلِينَ وَأَنْتِ امْرَأَةُ أَمِيرٍ ؟ فَقَالَتْ: سَمِعْتُ أَبِي يُحَدِّثُ، عَنْ جَدِّي، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ: أَطْوَلُكُنَّ طَاقَةً أَعْظَمُكُنَّ أَجْرًا
Translation

✧ I entered upon Hind bt. al-Muhallab b. Abī Ṣufrah, the wife of al-Ḥajjāj b. Yūsuf, and in her hand was a spindle with which she was spinning. I said to her: You spin while you are the wife of an emir? She said: I heard my father relate from my grandfather, who said: I heard the Messenger of God ﷺ say: The one among you with the longest thread will have the greatest reward.
