✧ I came to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ while he was praying, and I prayed following his prayer from behind him, while he did not know. He began with al-Baqarah and recited from it until I thought he would bow; then he continued. Sufyan said: I only know that he said he prayed four rakʿahs, his bowing was like his standing. He said: I mentioned that to the Prophet ﷺ, and he said: "Why did you not tell me?" Hudhayfah said: "By the One who sent you with the truth as a Prophet, I still feel it in my back even now." He said: "Had I known you were behind me, I would have lightened it."
