✧ Some slaves from the people of Makkah went out to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ on the day of al-Hudaybiyyah before dawn and accepted Islam. Their masters from the people of Makkah sent to him: "By Allah, O Muhammad, they did not come out to you out of desire for your religion; rather they came out fleeing from slavery." Some men among the Companions of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ said: "They spoke the truth, O Messenger of Allah; return them." He became angry, then said: "I think you, O company of Quraysh, will not stop until Allah sends against you those who will strike your necks for this religion." He refused to return them and said: "They are the freed ones of Allah." Others went out after the treaty, so he returned them.
