حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ أَحْمَدَ بْنِ حَنْبَلٍ قَالَ: نَا صَالِحُ بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ التِّرْمِذِيُّ قَالَ: نَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ طَاوُسٍ قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى وَالِدِي طَاوُسٍ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى جَابِرِ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ: أَشْهَدُ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ يَقُولُ:

أُمِرْتُ أَنْ أُقَاتِلَ النَّاسَ حَتَّى يَقُولُوا: لَا إِلَهَ إِلَّا اللهُ فَإِذَا فَعَلُوا ذَلِكَ فَقَدْ عَصَمُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ وَأَمْوَالَهُمْ، إِلَّا بِحَقِّهَا، وَحِسَابُهُمْ عَلَى اللهِ

✧ I have been commanded to fight the people until they say: 'There is no god but Allah.' If they do that, then their blood and their wealth are protected from me, except for its right, and their reckoning is with Allah.
