حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيٌّ قَالَ: نَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ شَوْكَرٍ قَالَ: نَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ إِسْرَائِيلَ، عَنْ مَيْسَرَةَ بْنِ حَبِيبٍ، عَنِ الْمِنْهَالِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ بِنْتِ طَلْحَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ أُمِّ الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، قَالَتْ:
مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا مِنْ خَلْقِ اللهِ أَشْبَهَ بِرَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ دِينًا، وَلَا جِلْسَةً، وَلَا مِشْيَةً مِنْ فَاطِمَةَ، وَكَانَتْ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهَا رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ رَحَّبَتْ بِهِ، وَقَامَتْ مِنْ مَجْلِسِهَا، وَقَبَّلَتْ يَدَهُ، وَأَجْلَسَتْهُ فِي مَجْلِسِهَا، وَكَانَتْ إِذَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَى رَسُولِ اللهِ ﷺ رَحَّبَ بِهَا، وَقَامَ إِلَيْهَا، وَقَبَّلَ يَدَهَا، وَأَجْلَسَهَا فِي مَجْلِسِهِ. وَأَنَّهَا دَخَلَتْ عَلَيْهِ وَهُوَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، فَسَارَّهَا، فَبَكَتْ، ثُمَّ أَسَرَّ إِلَيْهَا، فَضَحِكَتْ، قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: فَقُلْتُ لِلنِّسْوَةِ: إِنْ كُنْتُ لَأَرَى أَنَّ لِهَذِهِ الْمَرْأَةِ فَضْلًا عَلَى النِّسَاءِ بَيْنَا هِيَ تَبْكِي إِذَ هِيَ تَضْحَكُ، فَسَأَلْتُهَا بَعْدَ ذَلِكَ: مَا أَسَرَّ إِلَيْكِ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ ؟ فَلَمْ تُخْبِرْنِي، فَلَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ سَأَلْتُهَا، فَقَالَتْ: قَالَ: إِنِّي مَيِّتٌ فِي مَرَضِي هَذَا. فَجَزِعْتُ؛ فَبَكَيْتُ، وَأَسَرَّ إِلَيَّ أَنِّي أَوَّلُ أَهْلِهِ لُحُوقًا، فَسُرِرْتُ بِذَلِكَ فَضَحِكْتُ

✧ I have not seen anyone among Allah's creation more similar to the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in religion, sitting, or walking than Fatimah. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ entered upon her, she would welcome him, rise from her seat, kiss his hand, and seat him in her place. When she entered upon the Messenger of Allah ﷺ, he would welcome her, rise to her, kiss her hand, and seat her in his place. She entered upon him while he was in his house, and he whispered to her, and she wept. Then he whispered to her again, and she laughed. ʿA'ishah said: I said to the women, 'I used to think that this woman had superiority over other women; while she was weeping, she then laughed.' I asked her afterwards, 'What did the Messenger of Allah ﷺ whisper to you?' She did not tell me. When the Messenger of Allah ﷺ passed away, I asked her, and she said, 'He said: I am going to die in this illness of mine. I grieved and wept. And he whispered to me that I would be the first of his family to join him, and I was pleased with that and laughed.'
