حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الرَّازِيُّ قَالَ: نَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ عَتِيقٍ الدِّمَشْقِيُّ قَالَ: نَا مَرْوَانُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الطَّاطَرِيُّ قَالَ: نَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ سَالِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ نَافِعٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ:

تَرَاءَى النَّاسُ الْهِلَالَ، فَأَخْبَرْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ ﷺ أَنِّي رَأَيْتُهُ، فَصَامَ رَسُولُ اللهِ ﷺ، وَأَمَرَ النَّاسَ بِصِيَامِهِ

✧ The people sighted the new moon, and I informed the Messenger of God ﷺ that I had seen it. So the Messenger of God ﷺ fasted and ordered the people to fast.
